Margot Robbie, Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johannsson are probably the best looking females in Hollywood right now, especially Margot Robbie, she is soo fuckin beautiful. I thought this was gonna be a day dreaming sequence cuz everyone was praising him for his performance and then it cuts back to real life then he screws up the scene lol.
One of my favourite Easter eggs is when Rick Dalton was in Italian films the narrator mentions the name Antonio Margheriti- the very same name used by the Americans while pretending to be Italians in Inglorious Basterds. Ever thought about watching your own film in theaters? Brad Pitt- no Margot Robbie- no Leo- silently nodding. I wish the ending was how it really happened! Rip Sharon Tate and the rest. They cut that scene of Charles seeing and waving at Cliff on the roof. Amazing how this entire sequence had me on the edge of my seat & was more terrifying to me than any horror film that came out last year.
When you realise that only two girl that break into Rick"s house later wear black t shirt. The ending made me so sad. Watching them all go inside the house so happy. It was so beautiful!?. They deserved that and more.?. The way Rick and his new Italian wife walk through the airport at the end mirrors the way Polanski and Tate walked hand in hand and in step at the beginning, signifying, I think, that Rick"s luck is about to change. Quintessentarantino! and l agree with the comment(s) about Luke Perry. ??????. In real life a stuntman (believe his name was Cliff) was lured to the Spohn Ranch for sex, was forced to sign over his expensive cars, then slaughtered and buried there. James Stacy was very much an ascending actor (who in the film rides off on his motorcycle) that had a horrendous motorcycle accident, losing an arm and leg, destroying his career. I was amazed in the brief scene of Manson at the house, the actor actually walked exactly like Charlie did, I was a San Francisco Hippy in the 60"s and that one summer Charlie was all over S.F., we tried to avoid him, but that scene in the film brought me right back to seeing him walking past years ago. Also did a flashback, a family member had a 1966 Coupe deVille, a tan color, they left in NorCal with a mechanical glitch, in "67, they asked me to drive it to them in Van Nuy"s, where Cliff lived in the film, they let me use it all over L. month I was there, Quentin Tarantino nailed the vibe there, there are probably way more subtleties, I worked on films awhile, then other life got in the way. Brought back memories though.
The pathos of this character is actually quite fascinating, and something that doesn"t get explored enough in movies (probably because it"s not all that sexy. At the core of Rick Dalton is just a profound desire to do well. At first, his career aspiration seems to be all about vanity (and perhaps it is to a degree) but once we actually get to set with him, it becomes clear how much he genuinely cares about doing a great job, even for a little bit part on a random show. That"s a very universal struggle - wanting to do a good job, beating yourself up when you don"t perform as well as you could, and using that fire to perform better next time. It"s quietly inspiring.
If I know anything about tarantino is that Brad Pitt"s character is going to die. You heard it here first. Interviewer: Isn"t it safe to say this is the coolest film you"ve done? Brad: Uh I played Tyler Durden in Fight Club you idiot. The fact that they are all sitting the same cracks me up. The song that the Manson girls sing when they"re introduced, is the same crazy chant they did before the real trials. Spooky. Loved the movie, saw it four times already. Leo having his heart broken watching water molecules evaporate. Wait, is this based on a real story.
God. Brad is just so cool. Still so in love with him. ?????? LEO is my daughters generation. Margo drop dead gorgeous. This was just awesome. if only it could have gone that way. When first watching the trailer, I was interested. But Rick"s reaction to the compliment made it a must see. Okay Joaquin Phoenix, you have competition now. Best scene for me is when he messed up his lines and he had nervous break down tried to stop then continued his part and made that face of anger and confusion while trying to play it straight and trying to play his part all at the same time????????. That was an UNUSUALLY happy interview. They all seemed delighted to be there.
Heres one. Sharon visits the bookstore to pick up Tess of the DUrbervilles. The novel has a 1979 film adaptation, directed by none other than Roman Polanski and dedicated to the late Sharon Tate herself. Dude, beard charles manson at a glance he looks like Brandon Boyd from Incubus. The guy interviewing them must be extra confident. I wouldn"t even be able to talk being in front such talented actors. Happy Brithday Brad Pitt, we love you, hope you have many, many, love and light. 1 had fun with all the references that were in the movie. 2 hated the movie.
